Tips for Dark Circles under Eyes

Causes of Dark Circles under eyes:
    Lack  of  sleep can make the skin look pale and the appearance of dark
circles can be seen.
  •     Iron Deficiency Anemia
  •     Deficiency of Iron (anemia) may cause a bluish tinge below the eyes.
  •     Dehydration
  •     Dark circles under the eyes can be a sign of dehydration.

        Thinning skin        The skin under the eyes is thin and delicate to begin with. Skin and the fat pad under the eyes gets thinner with age, which cause blood vessels to become noticeable. This gives the appearance of dark circles.
        Sun rays can make the skin worse because it weakens the skin. The
Ultraviolet rays (UV rays) from the sun are also very harmful for the
eyes.

    Allergies: Dark circles under the eyes can be a result of allergies to airborne substances, such as dust, pollen. Food allergies can also contribute to dark circles.
    Genetics
    Genetically, a person could be predisposed to dark circles under the eyes.

People in one generation (family) can transfer it to the other generation.

They tend to be more noticeable in people with deep-set eyes or fair skin.

    Mental Stress or Tension may also cause dark circles under the eyes.
    Fluid Retention: Blood vessels under the eyes can become engorged and, dilated and can contribute to dark circles.

Tips for Dark Circles under Eyes:

    You should drink a lot of water everyday. (About 8-10 glasses of water are needed.)
    A balanced diet should be taken. A balanced diet consists of a diet

that is rich in nutrients and vitamins.

    Drink lots of natural fruit juice .It prevents dark circles under the

eyes and helps to detoxify the body.
  •     Eat diet rich in Vitamin K
  •     Use creams containing Vitamin E and  Mulberry leaves extract
  •     Practice meditation daily for 15-20 minutes
  •     Take good amount of  sleep
  •     Avoid smoking or drinking alcohol
  •     Keep herbal tea bags on your eyes .This will give a cooling effect to the eyes.

Natural Remedies for Dark Circles under the Eyes:
    Rose water is very good for dark circles. Apply  a cotton
dipped in rose water under the eyes and keep for 15-20 mins.
It gives a cooling effect and helps to reduce dark  pigmentation.
    Almond  oil  is one of the best home remedies for Dark circles. Massage the under eye area with almond oil for 10-15 minutes daily.
    Mint juice is also effective in reducing dark circles. It cools your eyes and gives a soothing effect.
    Keep potato slices under the eyes which help to remove dark circles.
    Mix lentils (masoor- dal) paste with turmeric powder  and apply it on the under eye area. Let it dry and then wash it with cold water. This paste helps to remove dark circles.
    Cucumber  juice is also excellent  home remedy for dark circles  under the eyes.
    Dip a cotton ball in cold  milk and apply it to the under eye area. It nourishes the skin and reduces dark pigmentation.
    Cream and natural butter are also very good  remedies

for dark circles under the eyes.

Dark Circles under eyes can be prevented if one follows the above tips.Try to use natural products which would help in reducing dark 
pigmentation. Do not use bleach or any other harmful creams and soaps
for dark circles as the skin under the eyes is very sensitive.
