Health Benefits of an Aerobic exercises

Let`s start by being honest.When there are so many scrumptious foods one can cat, how can we restrict ourselves to a `no carb` diet plan? However, losing weight remains on our to-do list.

A good way of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and burning of  the extra calo-rics are aerobic exercises. As the name says, these exercises aim at oxygenising the body and work towards healthier heart and lungs and regulating weight. Acrobic exercises increase the intake of oxygen by the body through rhythmic and fast paced movements including stretches. The result is flexibility, cardio vascular fitness and muscular strength as all large muscular groups are aimed at.

There are various types of aerobic exercises. These include step aerobics, water aerobics, cycling, rope jump, weight training, running/ jogging and yoga.


Step aerobics require a four to 12-inch high step, which becomes part of the fast movement regime.
Stepping up and down the raised platform, alternating the legs at intervals, work the leg muscles well.

Water aerobics incorporates movements like jogging, kicking, squats, jumping and dance steps carried out in a pool. Exercising in water results in less stress on the joints, but is a more rigorous calorie burning regime. Therefore, people with arthritis are also encouraged to carry out these exercises.The numerous benefits of aerobic exercises include mostly the strengthening of the heart and much better functioning.


Once aerobics become a part of one`s lifestyle, weight regulation becomes more successful. The risk of developing diabetes, obesity and heart diseases reduces significantly. There is an increasein the production of endorphins by the body. It causes the loosening of the stored body fat and prevents further accumulation.

Aerobics work towards a healthier lifestyle as they cause good quality sleep which results in refreshing the body. One feels more energetic and vigorous as aerobics intensifies the fatigue resistance the body provides. Stress, depression and anxiety are alleviated as one`s mood recovers, making them a generally happy person. As the muscles get sculpted, the body becomes more flexible.

Here are some tips for a more result producing exercise regime: • Start the exercise routine with awarm up session. This makes sure the heart, muscles, tendons and ligaments get prepped for the more rigorous exercises which are to follow.

• The same muscle groups should not be targeted cveryday, it is better to alternate the exercises. The same exercises everyday not only lead to monotony butthe muscles get used to the exertion and the work out becomes redundant on them.

• One`s posture is of immense importance while lifting weights, as the muscles may get ruptured if the posture is incorrect.
• Moderate exercises spread out thrice a week are more beneficial than intensiveexercise once a week.
• Well fitting sneakers provide good ankle support.
• Exercise with a friend the regime does not become boring and one tends to feel more motivated.
As good as aerobics sound, for most of us `time restrained` people, taking out time to exercise at home doesn`t work. For some, signing up for a weight loss club which holds regular classes may be a better idea, as exercising is not an option, it becomes a compulsion. These days it`s not difficult to find a gym or exercise classes in one`s neighbourhood. There are many private coaching classes, some of which offer individual training at the time best suited to the individuals.

Even though exercising is sufficient for a healthier you, it shows better results at inch loss if the consumption of biryani, burger and the likes is cut down to occasional treats. Including fruits and vegetables in our daily diet ensures a well balanced intake of all nutrients. Switch from coffee and cold drinks to green tea.

Although recent studies show that five to six smaller meals a day are better for the metabolism than three solid meals in the day, most working people find it inconvenient to do so. Therefore the decades old English saying `eat your breakfast like a king, share your lunch with a friend and give your supper to an enemy` is a good way of regulatingthe food intake. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day; a healthy breakfast provides energy sufficient for the entire day. The portions of meals should get smaller as the day progresses.

So delete the food delivery numbers from your phone, add acrobics and a well balanced diet for a well toned body.
