Hemorrhoids Causes Sign and Symptoms Preventive

Hemorrhoids are swelling in the rectum or anal area that may protrude through the anus on straining. They usually contain enlarged veins and are most common in people over the age of 50.
Causes of hemorroids

• Very weak rectal vein walls and valves
• Serious constipation
• Too much pressure on rectal veins due to poor muscle tone or posture, such as prolonged sitting
• Hypertension in the portal vein
• Excessive consumption of caffeine and alcohol
• Pregnancy. Many pregnant women suffer from hemorrhoids due to increase straining involved with bowel movement and hypertension.

Symptoms of hemorrhoids

• bleeding, usually painless.
• itching and/or irritation in the anal area
• discomfort and pain in the anal region
• lumps protruding from the anal region
• swelling in the anal region
• a lump near your anus, this can sometimes be sensitive (painful)
• feces may leak (without your wanting it to happen)

Treatment of hemorroids
There are many types of hemorrhoids treatment available, from topical ointments for minor cases to surgical procedures for those that are more severe.

Preventive from hemorroids:

• Include fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains in your diet each day. These foods are high in fiber.
• Drink plenty of fluids, enough so that your urine is light yellow or clear like water.
• Get some exercise every day. Try to do moderate activity at least 2½ hours a week. Or try to do vigorous activity at least 1¼ hours a week. It's fine to be active in blocks of 10 minutes or more throughout your day and week.
• Take a fiber supplement, such as Citrucel or Metamucil, every day if needed. Start with a small dose and very slowly increase the dose over a month or more.
• Schedule time each day for a bowel movement. Having a daily routine may help. Take your time and do not strain when having a bowel movement.
